MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

Here at Refuge, we believe the Church is called to serve others in Christ and the community. We have several opportunities where our members can show the love of Jesus in action. Check out our current volunteer ministry openings. All openings are available to members who are faithful in their attendance, tithing, and giving, who are submitted to follow leadership, and who are teachable.

CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPENINGS:

KINGDOM KIDS VOLUNTEERS

JESUS SAID TO PERMIT THE LITTLE CHILDREN TO COME TO HIM. DON'T TURN THEM AWAY, FOR SUCH IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. (Matthew 19:14)

  • Help children ages 4-11 develop a love for Jesus and a passion to serve Him.

  • Background checks are required.

YOUTH MINISTRIES VOLUNTEERS

DO YOU LOVE WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE? THEN, OUR YOUTH MINISTRIES AREA IS A GOOD PLACE FOR YOU TO SERVE. â€‹

  • Help disciple youth ages 12 - 17 to grow in their faith and pursue a life of serving Jesus.

  • Background checks are required.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

DO YOU HAVE EXCELLENT CLERICAL SKILLS? ARE YOU PROFICIENT AT KEEPING RECORDS? DO YOU HAVE GREAT PEOPLE'S SKILLS?

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented, people person with excellent administrative skills.

  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and Business professionalism.

  • Confidential

  • Works well with others, especially senior leadership.

FINANCE TEAM MEMBERS

DO YOU HAVE SKILLS WITH ACCOUNTING OR BOOKKEEPING? DO YOU HAVE A FINANCIAL BACKGROUND?

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented person with excellent fiduciary skills.

  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and Business professionalism.

  • Confidential

  • Works well with others, especially senior leadership.

  • Must be a member for at least one year.

  • Must be a tithing and giving member.

AUDIOVISUAL TEAM MEMBERS

DO YOU HAVE A PASSION TO WORK WITH MEDIA? DO YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT AUDIOVISUAL?

  • The AV Team is looking to build a trained and effective audiovisual ministry team that will help to get the gossip out to the world.

  • Training will be provided.

  • Must be committed and willing to serve on a schedule.

  • Works well with others, especially senior leadership.

MEMBER CONNECT TEAM MEMBERS

HELP KEEP OUR MEMBERS CONNECTED TO THE LIFE OF THE CHURCH.

  • Help develop and manage systems to keep our membership connected with all the activities, resources, and opportunities available at the church.

  • Must be a people person!

  • Must be engaging!

  • Must have a welcoming demeanor!

WORSHIP TEAM MEMBERS

CAN YOU SING? DO YOU LOVE WORSHIPPING GOD IN SONG? THEN THE WORSHIP TEAM IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.

  • Help lead the church in worship.

  • Must be teachable.

PRAYER TEAM MEMBERS

DO YOU HAVE THE GIFT OF INTERCESSION? ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT PRAYER?

  • Join the team that serves the church in praying specifically for members, leadership, church activities, events, and evangelism/outreach initiatives.

  • Must be teachable and apt to follow leadership.

WORSHIP TEAM MEMBERS

CAN YOU SING? DO YOU LOVE WORSHIPPING GOD IN SONG? THEN THE WORSHIP TEAM IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.

  • Help lead the church in worship.

  • Must be teachable.

GUEST SERVICES MEMBER

ARE YOU WELCOMING? DO YOU LOVE PEOPLE? DO YOU LOVE EXTENDING HOSPITALITY? THEN GUEST SERVICES IS A GREAT AREA TO SERVE.

  • Help welcome worshippers (first-time guests and Refuge Family Members) into our services.

  • Must be a people person.

  • Must be friendly.

  • Must be able to give direction with a hospitable spirit.

CULINARY TEAM MEMBERS

DO YOU LOVE HOSTING CULINARY EVENTS? CAN YOU COOK? DO YOU LOVE TO DECORATE? DO YOU LOVE TO ENTERTAIN? THEN OUR CULINARY TEAM NEEDS YOU!

  • Help set an atmosphere of elegance and professionalism with all of the church's catered events.

  • Proficient in food safety and handling.

  • Training will be provided.

  • Must be friendly and hospitable.

  • Must be able to follow directions.
